As of Friday afternoon we were prepared to move out of the house (we've been leasing it for 2 months) because of a question of the well-septic tank distance and had to get another survey done to clear up that one last issue. This was five hours before we closed. What a crazy, crazy journey.
We closed halfway on Friday (who does that?), and then signed the rest of the paperwork this morning. Thinking back to the beginning of this process, from when we decided to buy, to finding the perfect house, to waiting for five and a half months and especially the scares the past couple of weeks, we are so relieved and thankful. God really connected us with the perfect people who fought for us to help us get this done.
Thank you God for providing this home. Thank you friends and family for supporting us along the way!
I dragged Miles out for a commemorative photo. Can you see our relief??
And now that we actually own the house I can't wait to get appliances (!!) and get some paint on these bare walls! We also have lots of yard work to do.We got a start yesterday by raking up fifteen bags of leaves and pulling a bunch of weeds...Happy Homeownership to us!
